Jess begins to have genuine feelings for Sam as more than a sexual partner, especially after seeing him work as a pediatrician during the day. When Schmidt gifts Nick a cookie, he feels insulted and upset that Nick does not care about him or think of him at all, so Nick has to do something about that. Jess tries to make up with Cece, but when Cece is not physically presentable for her modeling gig, Jess tries to model in her place.
